The One Man One Mic Foundation was born from a simple truth: veterans carry stories that deserve to be heard. We provide the platform, the training, and the community to help veterans find their voice through podcasting.
Through our programs, veterans learn to transform their experiences into powerful narratives that heal, inspire, and connect. We believe that every story matters, and every voice has the power to change lives.

Board of Directors
Meet the dedicated leaders guiding our mission to empower veterans through storytelling
Scott McLean
Founder & CEO
Scott is a 10 year Air Force veteran and a passionate advocate for veterans. He founded One Man One Mic Foundation after discovering that podcasting & storytelling were powerful tools in his own journey with PTSD. Scott's also the Founder of the Honor In Ashes Project. A nonprofit honoring cremated veterans with the respectful retirement of unserviceable American flags, symbolizing their sacrifice and accompanying them on their final journey. Scott's also the host of the VetsConnection Podcast.
Ashley Williams
LCSW, CCTP, CBHP, Board President
Ashley is a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist and Clinical Social Worker. She is also a public speaker and an active board member for The 22 Project, which provides Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments to veterans affected by Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Craig Siegel
ATR-BC, ATCS, Board Member.
Craig is the Chairperson of the E/BD Clinical Art Therapy Department at Miami-Dade County Public Schools. He is also the President-elect of the Art Therapy Credentials Board and the recipient of the 2020 Distinguished Clinician Award from the American Art Therapy Association.
Dave DeFilippis
Board Member. Treasurer/ Secretary
Dave is a Senior Investment Banker for Brown Brothers Harrisman in Boston. He is actively engaged in volunteering at the Boston Center for Homeless Veterans, serving meals as well as providing technology training for veterans.
John Schrey
Board Member
John is a Marine veteran and the National Director of Military Affairs for Haven Health Management. He serves as a member of the Veterans Advisory Board in Palm Beach County, FL. Additionally, he is a veteran advocate and Public Speaker.
DJERY CLEMENT
BOARD MEMBER
Djery is a USMC veteran who holds a Bachelor's and Master’s Degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. His most recent roles include serving as a writing consultant at the FAU University Center for Excellence in Writing, and he's also a speaking consultant at the FAU Speaking Center.
Dr. Racquel Vera-McLean, Ph.D.
Advisor
Racquel received her Ph.D in Nursing from Florida International University in 2012. She is a nationally certified primary care nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has been an advanced registered Nurse Practitioner since 2000. Since 2003, Dr. Vera-McLean has served as faculty in public and private universities. She has also taken leadership roles as an academic in higher education institutions.
Michael Vascellaro
Creative Support & Media Volunteer
Michael brings an independent background in visual arts, digital media, and grassroots community projects. Following a period focused on family and wellness, he found a shared mission with the One Man One Mic Foundation. Wanting to give back, he stepped in to provide volunteer assistance with the foundation's community website and digital media outreach. Operating purely in a supportive, flexible volunteer capacity that accommodates his health needs, Michael helps the organization share veteran stories and creative healing programs with the community.
